Zorgkwekerij Bloei in Pijnacker offers a warm, supportive environment where horticulture and care come together. For their expanding activities and day programmes, Bloei needed a functional, light-filled greenhouse that could serve both as a workspace and a welcoming area for visitors. VDF Greenhouses translated these needs into a tailored solution that strengthens their mission: providing space to grow, learn, and flourish — literally and figuratively. The result is a greenhouse that supports daily operations, enhances comfort, and seamlessly connects to the existing facilities on site.
The project consists of a 1,890 m² Venlo greenhouse designed as a sales area combined with day-care functions. The structure includes truss spans of 3.20, 6.40 and 9.60 metres, a bay width of 3.20 metres and a 4.00-metre column height. The roof is fitted with 16 mm polycarbonate sheets and 40 mm sandwich panels to ensure insulation and durability. Built against three sides of an existing greenhouse, the new structure integrates naturally into the site while providing a comfortable and highly functional space for Bloei’s daily activities.
